This is my take on The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. It's one of my favorite albums but I've never really liked the album art. The color scheme is meant to be reminiscent of the original but still has a different feel. I illustrated all of the artwork in photoshop sketch on my iPad before building the packaging in Illustrator and Photoshop. All of the visuals are inspired by the album's themes and song titles. I first drew the vampire skull for the cover because the band's aesthetic is often associated with vampires and The Black Parade is essentially a concept album about death. The wolf heads on the back cover and CD itself are inspired by the song "House of Wolves". After I drew one wolf head I duplicated it and arranged them to look like a vertebra to tie the covers together.
